NO GRAVEL UNDER SLAB SYSTEM
- High pressure system with AMG Eagle fan in unobtrusive location behind chimney.
- AMG Eagle high-pressure fan for no gravel under slab situations.
- Installation of “Radon Away” model high pressure fan for no-gravel situations.
- Close-up of AMG Eagle model high-pressure fan; dimensions 12″x12″.
- Typical amount of material removed from beneath the slab to create suction pit in large basements with no gravel under slab construction.
- Extensive digging of suction pit for no-gravel situations. Note worker’s arm is fully extended laterally under slab through the 6″ opening.
- Removing dirt from the suction pit with a shop-vac.
- eginning the digging of the suction point in a no-gravel-under-slab situation, through a 6″ opeining in the slab.
High Pressure system – Note properly installed weatherproof switch and UF-B outdoor wire. Properly installed outdoor on/off switches provide a means
to disconnect power for the fan from the outside. There is no need to cut power at the circuit breaker inside the house in order to change the fan after it’s useful life. This is a National Mechanical Code requirement for outdoor fan installations.
Also, note that all wall penetrations are neatly sealed with permanent polyurethane sealant.
